Hey what's up! Just wanted to write something quick about how awesome my experience was at the epic Newgrounds Toronto meetup that happened couple days ago! Although last year's NG TO meetup was absolutely fun and made some amazing friends out of it, this year way wayyyyyyyy cooler. I got to chat, drink, and chill with so many awesome and talented artists/creators which showed me how special NG is and its community.

I had an ongoing thought long before the meetup began. There was over double the amount of people showin' up to this thing in comparison to last time, and we're all heading to a big theatre in the heart of downtown Toronto. I had to look my best. My fanciest. I must show up and show out in the most dramatic way possible. I had to wear a suit. Yes.. a suit with a tie and all, to the correct event knowing that everyone else would actually be comfortable wearing NG/FNF themed t-shirts and not sweat balls. Oh yeah, I also got my awesome friend @kmishama to get at her fanciest too. My husband Michael (@octopus58) got dressed up too, but went as far as a dress shirt and jeans. Can't blame him, honestly. Nor could I blame anyone else who had to travel cross country or across oceans for this meetup.

Regardless, me and Michael made our way to Christie station (the station closest to the meetup spot). I was carrying a lot on hand with me: an umbrella bc it got quite rainy that day, a massive water bottle so I don't overheat in a black, light-absorbing suit, my 3DS which I hadn't touched in like 5 years. Oh yeah, I never mentioned I managed to make some stickers out of my Newgrounds Toronto Tribute drawing. The color got butchered a little bit by the printing service I ordered from, but regardless they were still cool stickers. We showed up little earlier so we, kmi and @FunPix can get a quick lunch beforehand. Also convinced my university friendo Sergei to come along to the meetup, even tho he don't got NG.

Finally, the meetup was beginning. People started piling up more and more in the meetup spot. My boy @Ryychii suited up for the event too lol. Felt like I looked the most like a security guard than anybody else. We drew stuff, traded stickers, just all around chatted and had a great time till the 90 or so of us migrated to the theatre. Once we got in, I actually managed to use my 3DS for once, playing mario kart with my awesome boysssss. Afterwards, the screening began, and we laughed and just generally appreciated all the awesome (and sometimes unhinged) animations/short films provided by the best NG creators. We were generally having a great time watching stuff and oh fuck I forgot my water bottle somewhere.

*The day after I tried to go back to the restaurant I went to lunch in, and see if they I left it there, but it wasn't. It's probably somebody's pee bottle in the meetup spot now. RIP water bottle :(

Once the screening finished, we managed to fit the hoard of people we had to a bar right by the theatre, where I took off my blazer and transformed from a security guard to a bartender/someone who looks like they work at the bar restuarant lol. I tried to chat around with everybody I could to get to know people I didn't speak with before and see if everyone was also having a good time and somebody to chat with. So if there's anybody I didn't manage to chat enough with, i sorry lol

Overall, this meetup was something I never could've imagined. It made me, once again, first hand witness how fun it is to be a part of Newgrounds and its community. Everyone had a shared interest in creating and held their own amazing skill in their craft which what makes NG possible. Y'all are the best of the best and NEVER STOP CREATING AND BEING AWESOME! I love all of y'all!

Shouting out to everybody I was able to chat with. I was over the moon to finally see some awesome folks I met from last years' meetup (who I don't already chill with in person and live in Toronto). @Droid stole @ninjamuffin99 's identity for like an hour, @Crashtroid chill as always, @Snackers and @Cadaver also chill, @Wandaboy goated and awesome all day every day, and lots more. But I also got to chat with other new people who were just amazing to chat with, and people I never thought I'd be chatting with. @Gachakoi was awesome and better dressed than me ngl, @coby and @BrandyBuizel my jersey boys for liiiiiife, @Aaron-Long and Kevin (voice of Tangy Mustard) funniest and chill dudes ever, @arkoirisangel and @Aza210 the sweetest guys, and @TomFulp so fun to chat with and hope u had fun time in Toronto :)
